A week ago Joseph received an email asking for a volunteer to dress up as the State Farm Good Neighbear at a Jazz game. Along with this he received 2 tickets, dinner and all the perks. As we were at the social before dinner Kevin O’Conner was standing near us in the back waiting to be called up to speak. I was so excited to be within just a few feet away. I put my shyness aside and went over and introduced myself and then Joseph. He was very nice and extremely humble. He was then called up to speak. He talked about the direction of the Jazz and how we were able to get some of our recent big deals (Kyle Korver). When he was leaving he waived to the crowd seated at the tables then looked over to us and said goodbye and told us the team would work hard tonight. Little did he know every player would have an off night. We then enjoyed a delicious dinner in a skybox. We watched a little of the game in our seats then Joseph was off for his NBA Debut. He went out on the court between the 1st and 2nd quarter and then again at halftime. He did a great job as the State Farm mascot. We then continued to watch the Jazz alienate themselves from the game. After returning to the skybox for some nachos and drinks we decided we couldn’t bear to watch the LA Lakers continue to slaughter the Jazz and staying up any later watching was unbearable.

Sounds like a fun evening. Sorry it was a terrible game to watch.
