Olympic Torch

The World Winter Special Olympics came to town a few weeks ago. The kids and I had the opportunity to see the torch run through our little town. The torch ended and the elementary school for a special assembly. This torch was lit by the same flame as the olympic torch. It came all the way from Athens, Greece. The torch was run by law enforcement both local and from around the world also by some of the athletes. It took me back 7 years when we saw the torch for the SLC Winter Games.

Brigham with a couple classmates after the assembly

The bus that the torch runners got on to go to another city. We waved goodbye to them and they were all excited to wave back.
