The kids enjoyed a Snow Day on December 1.

We closed out the year with a bang of traveling. It only made sense to do it this way since we traveled so much this year. Joseph went on 2 business trips before the 9th and then on the 10th Joseph, Gammon and I flew to San Francisco to meet up with our Russian friends Valentin and Luba. We enjoyed staying at Colleens house (Joseph’s sister), shopping at her Goodwill (the best second hand store) and seeing many sites of the city. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland Temple to see the lights, Muir Woods (a small taste of the Redwoods.) Luba (at least 40 years old) saw the ocean for the first time and quickly turned into a kid. We spent the last day at Maritime National Monument where we toured old ships. They were pretty awesome. We had a wonderful time.

We got home just in time to head to the mountains for our annual Christmas tree trip. We then set up for Christmas and got ready for Santa Claus.
Christmas was a great time as usual. Christmas eve was spend at home with our traditional celebration. The kids loved everything they got from Santa. Brigham-Green machine, Daniel-DS with Mario Cart, Kyler-bicycle and Zhu-zhu pets, Katya-roller skates and the prized possession panda pillow pet, Gammon-Lawn mower. They all got a few other things, but these were the main items. Gammon got Kyler this pet keeper. (compliments of my up and coming craftiness and the help of a DI shelf.) She was thrilled. I gave Joseph a game he’d been wanting and he gave me the nightstands to match our bedroom set. We had Christmas dinner with all the Fam at our house. I enjoyed that a lot.

We will ring in the New Year at the in-laws tomorrow night. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Sounds like a fun trip! I've never been to San Francisco.
