December Happenings

Whew!! We made it through the holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas.

On Christmas Eve we went ice skating before coming home for our traditional Christmas Eve.

Santa spoiled the kids again. Gammon got a lot of cars and a car garage. Katya got a camera, which she can hardly put down, along with a horse set. Kyler got a Karaoke machine and she loves singing with it. Daniel got a rip rider 360 and a police lego set. He was so excited for the legos. Brigham got a pogo stick and legos. Santa made a ping pong top for our pool table. It has brought hours of fun.

We spent much of the holidays over at Grandma’s because we had lots of cousins come to town for the New Year. We played LOTS of games, visited, ate LOTS of food and had a great time. We are all still recuperating from the lack of sleep.

The kids are working on reading 600 minutes (800 for Brigham). Once they do this they will earn a free Roaring Springs pass. It has to be recreational reading so none of the homework reading counts. Brigham started December 19th and finished the last day of Christmas break. I was really proud of him.

Daniel is working hard at finishing his wolf. I know, I know, nothing like leaving it to the last minute, but hey we’re getting there. Only a couple of things left to do.

Kyler tried out for Young Artists Choir and she made it. She is looking forward to learning how to sing parts and sight read music. She will sing soprano most of the time, but then the director will move her around a bit because she has such a strong range. We are excited for her to develop her talent more. She will be singing at the Stake’s Baptism Preview this Sunday. She loves to sing for a crowd. In December she sang for our RS dinner.

Not much more going on right now except for the anticipated arrival of the baby. (1 ½ weeks to due date) Yesterday the doctor said he’d probably see me back in the office next week. Not much happening in regards to being ready for delivery. So we will wait and clean and clean some more. I’m sure I could never have everything done, but I’ll give it a good effort. I did get the 2 carseat covers finished. I decided to wait to sew the skirt for the baby so I can take exact measurements.
