March and April!

Hey Ya'll, (just to stick with the southern theme here)

It is an understatement that we have been busy here.

In early March Brigham participated in a band performance and he participated in his first piano recital.    Kyler performed in 2 talents shows one at the elementary school singing, I see the Light, and then at the highschool singing, Somewhere out there.  She also had her spring concert for Gwinnett Young Singers.

We celebrated our 7 year Gotcha day with Daniel and Katya.

At the beginning of April we had our wood floors refinished.  They are beautiful and I love them.  I would still like to paint the dining room and kitchen cabinets.  While the floors were being redone we camped at Cloudland Canyon State Park.  It was in Georgia, but close to Chattanooga, TN.  We spent a day in Chattanooga, and then a day at camp.  We hiked to 2 gorgeous waterfalls.  The rest of our time we spent at a hotel.  (not fun.)

They found the hole when they took the floor out.  This was previous damage that the old homeowners apparently didn't address.

Driving the Duck boat.
Duck Boat tour.  On land then into the water.
Free icecream meant icecream for everyone at Ben and Jerry's.

Daniel has started back up at diving after a short break.  He is learning a lot and improving each time.

Katya has spent a lot of time playing softball.  She earned her spot on the infield playing second.  Which is actually more like shortstop between 1st and 2nd.  Then they have another position called straight-up second which mans the base.  She has done well this season and has caught 2 fly balls and gotten many out at first base.  We have a small tournament this weekend before the season is over until August.

In April Gammon was registered for kindergarten.  We go back on Thursday for kindergarten roundup where he will visit a classroom and ride a school but.  Can't believe my time with him at home is quickly coming to an end.

The usual for Easter, but here are some cute pics.

This little ham smiles with his eyes closed most of the time.

Getting too big and doesn't want to be in the hiking backpack.  Big boy wants to hike himself.

Hodson fell asleep in the car.

Found this adorable dress at a yard sale.  Got this dress for Kyler, 2 shorts, 2 jeans and a t-shirt for Katya all for $8.00.

We said goodbye to this awesome car we have had for 12 years.  Hated to see it go, but had an opportunity to buy a car from State Farm.  The old car had 166,000 miles and the new car a 2005 Nissan Altima 66,000 miles.  Sold this car to someone at Joseph's work the day before he flew to Florida to pick up the new car.

School is winding down.  We have just a bit over 2 weeks left.  The kids finished up 5 days of testing today.  They are relieved and happy to have it over with.  This test has been stressed all year.

Warm enough for sprinkler fun and dad needed to water the garden.  Anxiously awaiting opening day at the pool.
