November News

November started with the removal of Brigham’s tonsils. I am happy to report he now sleeps through the night. Something he hasn’t done for about 2-3 years now. Since the surgery he has come in our room twice. Before that is was every night and we were lucky when he’d skip a night.

Kyler turned six and had a party with friends. We made ornaments and bracelets. She loved it. She was sick again this year on her birthday, but was at least up and about. I made her a kennel for a new webkin and grandma and grandpa gave her an easy bake oven which she was thrilled with. She loved making a little cake and was very good to share the treat with Katya. She also enjoyed her book-it pizza that day and we painted her fingernails. (something that isn’t allowed everyday at our house.)

We hosted Thanksgiving this year. We had 23 people here. It was really fun. It was great to be home. You can see the napkin holders the kids and I made for the tables.

Joseph's new toy was a hit at Thanksgiving.

I boycotted shopping Black Friday. Instead, we drove to the mountains to get our 2 Christmas trees. There was snow up there and so the kids were excited to play in it. They slid down the hill in their snow pants.

Gammon turned 6 months old December 1st. He is sure showing his personality now. He is very social and always trying to get everyone’s attention. He will look and smile at his daddy until he is noticed and said Hi to. He has started to roll from his belly back over to his back now. He can cover a lot of floor space. He is also using his leg to scoot a bit. Mostly in a circle, but he can sure get around.

We’ve kicked December off with getting ready for the holidays. We made chocolates (a first for our family.) We also went to and saw a Live Nativity that a Lutheran church puts on. The shopping is nearly done, and we are looking forward to Christmas.

I thought I’d post a couple of stories about the kids both for your enjoyment and so I can remember them later.

The other day the kids were at a sitter’s house while I went to Activity Days at the church. Upon arriving home Daniel preceded to tell me that “the house had boughten bread and it was WHITE. Even white on the inside.” This was told in complete amazement and such a discovery he had made. I took it as a compliment that he had no clue boughted white bread existed.

Last night the kids had a babysitter here at the house. They were playing hide and go seek. The boys were hidden really well and the girls couldn’t find them. Katya started to get very worried telling the babysitter that mom was going to be very mad and they should call the police to help find them. She then started to cry like she does and the babysitter had to tell the boys to come out just so Katya would calm down.

After seeing a Super Cuts commercial Kyler said she needed to go there and get stylish.
