To Let You Know

Dear Friends and Family,

A couple of weeks ago the doctors found a tumor in Joseph's kidney. It is a miracle that they found it, because they were just running a couple of tests to try and figure out why his blood pressure has been high. This wasn't routine testing for high blood pressure, but rather something our family doctor just "felt" like we should do. We were informed that it is about 1 inch in size, about 1/3 the size of them when they usually find them. They are unsure whether it is cancer or not, but are feeling pretty confident that if it is cancer it is just confined to the tumor. They will be running a couple more tests to verify that it is not in the blood or lungs. He is scheduled for surgery on February 23rd. We are at peace because of the promises made in a priesthood blessing given to Joseph by our bishop. We are feeling the strength of the prayers being said on our behalf and ask that you too will pray for Joseph. I will keep you updated.
